1. What if my son/daughter has special dietary needs due to a religious or medical reason?
Camp does a nice job of accommodating most request. If your child needs a special meal plan because of a religious or medical reason then you need to email me. Together we will work out a plan to meet the needs of your child.
2. My child needs to take medication, how does this work?
In April, you will be receiving a form that asks if your child will need medication at camp. A form will need to be signed from your child's doctor for prescription medication along with the proper dosage information. For over the counter medicine proper forms will also have to be filled out. At camp, a Franklin staff member will be in charge of administering medication according to the paper work turned in. No medication can be given without proper paper work. Be sure to have the medications turned in to your child's school secretaries a few days before camp.

We ask that you only contact your child for necessary reasons. Camp is a time that many students gain independence from their parents. With that being said, there are appropriate reason that you may need to talk to your child. Contact your child's school secretary and she will call a Franklin staff member at camp. That staff member will either have your child use their cell phone or the cell phone of a chaperone.
5. Can I visit my child at camp?
Yes, contact your child's secretary and she will tell you which side of camp your son or daughter is on. She will also have directions for you if needed. Once you arrive at camp, ask where Mr. Campbell or Mr. Allen are and we will help you locate your child.

Parents are contacted and you will have to pick up your child
7. My child has high anxiety and some fears about sleeping over at camp, what should I do?
Email me and we can work together to create a plan. In the past, I have partnered a child up with a friend or a chaperone that he/she may know. Many times camp is a place where children over come some of their fears
8. Can my child leave early from camp?
Yes, if your child has to leave early then please send me an email so I can plan appropriately. At camp, I will let your child's chaperone know when and where your child needs to be for pickup.
9. What is the cost of camp?
The cost of camp will be 125 dollars. Some schools do a fundraiser to offset some of the cost and some school's PTA contributes partial payment. You should be receiving more information about this soon.
10. What is the cost for chaperone?
The cost for chaperones is 65 dollars. This fee covers all of the meals provided and there is no logging cost for chaperones.
